2019 AMERICAN CITIES BEST AT USING DATA TO IMPROVE RESIDENTS’ LIVES

Kristin led the public announcement of the 2019 cities to achieve What Works Cities Certification, an award for the most well-managed, data-driven local governments in the country. Her multi-pronged strategy that focused on growing visibility for the What Works Cities initiative at both the national and local levels led to securing an exclusive in U.S. News & World Report, as well as trade coverage and pieces in the cities’ local media markets. She also oversaw the production of feature content that showed how governing with data was leading to better outcomes for communities, and a coordinated social media effort, in which What Works Cities, its allies, participating cities, and more spread the good news
