PSA URGES: GET YOUR EYES CHECKED

Managed the creation of a PSA highlighting the importance of getting your eyes checked and amplifying the fact that nearly 1 billion people across the globe live with completely avoidable vision loss. Within the first three months of launching the PSA, it had been viewed by over 8 million people and picked up by nearly 400 stations across the United States, including in top-ten markets. Shaped and launched the Sharman Stein Award for Storytelling Changemakers, an annual award that honors city staff using public communication to inspire change


CELEBRATING WELL-MANAGED CITIES

Led the public announcement of the 2019 cities to achieve What Works Cities Certification, an award for the most well-managed local governments in the country. My strategy, which focused on growing visibility for the initiative at both the national and local levels, resulted in key wins, including an exclusive in U.S. News & World Report.


BOOSTING ECONOMIC MOBILITY

Led the public announcement of the 10 cities selected to participate in a new $12 million economic mobility initiative funded by Bloomberg Philanthropies, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, and Ballmer Group. I secured an exclusive in CityLab, the urban-focused site of The Atlantic, to break the news.


HOW LOCAL GOVERNMENTS ARE CHANGING LIVES

Co-led the writing and production of How Local Governments Are Changing Lives, the inaugural report coming out of What Works Cities. The publication showcased the accomplishments of the initiative’s first two years.

 
 
 

UNICEF EXECUTIVE BOARD COVERAGE

Serving as an internal consultant, I reimagined coverage of UNICEF’s Executive Board, which comprises member states to the United Nations, by translating complex deliberations and policymaking into engaging features.
